Shenmue III Teaser Trailer

At long last, we officially have a sequel to look forward to. Shenmue was released in 1999, while Shenmue II was released in 2001. This game was very unique at the time, although I’m pretty sure it’s tame by today’s standards regardless of how much I enjoyed it long ago, but Shenmue ended with a cliffhanger. This wouldn’t have been made without crowdfunding for sure. A lot of people really wanted this game to push through just to see how it all ends, or even continue. This game actually wanted multiple chapters (not just 3), but lets see if that actually pushes though. It all depends if people enjoys this new one. Looking forward to see this.

Movie Trailer: Avengers: Age of Ultron (Trailer 3)

The third and latest trailer from Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. The movie is looking more exciting, especially with a teaser of Vision at the end. I do wonder if Spider-Man will be showing up in the movie too.

Gaming News: Unreal Engine 4 is now free!

It’s one of the most successful game engines currently. So many games have come out using the Unreal Engine, it’s amazing that they are offering the game engine free of charge. Epic Games created the game engine which is highly portable to any device, The engine itself is practically new, with very famous upcoming games already using the engine like Kingdom Hearts 3, Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5, Eve Valkyrie and more.

They only ask a very little thing; which is 5% of your revenue once you reach $3,000 or higher. And considering they only get revenue once you reach a high level of sale, I think that’s a win win situation.

The engine can be used for education, business, making games and what ever you want to do with it.

This is a high contender for Unity since they also offered their older engine for free too. But Unreal Engine 4 has an advantage that it is an upcoming high end engine. Another competitive engine is CryEngine, they do have a subscription system which is relatively affordable (which is at around $10, currently around an estimated PhP450 a month).

The video below shows a developed scene in 3 hours made out of pre-made assets using Unreal Engine 4.

This is an interesting time to be a game developer.

Gaming News: Final Fantasy XV Demo Footage

The game looks impressive. The video is almost 2 hours long. I’m getting curious how this game turns out.

Movie News: Zack Snyder posted a pic of Jason Momoa as Aquaman

ZackSnyder_(@ZackSnyder)__Twitter_-_Mozilla_Firef_2015-02-21_01-51-15

Zack Snyder posted a pic on Twitter. And it just caused a lot of excitement. This is absolutely cool. It’s been a while since we last heard anything about the Batman V Superman movie, We have seen Superman (Henry Cavill)  already, glimpses of Batman (Ben Affleck) and a picture of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). Since they announced Jason Momoa to be Aquaman, I was excited. We was pretty good at Game of Thrones as Khal Drogo, which is so impressive regardless of how much I don’t understand the unique language they used in the series. His acting is quite good, too bad that the Conan movie reboot didn’t turn out too well, but I still am excited to see this actor in the big screen.

TV Rumor: Thea Queen may turn out to be Artemis

artemis

This is currently a rumor, that in the TV show Arrow (based on the DC Comic’s Green Arrow), the character Thea Queen (Played by Willa Holland), the sister of Oliver Queen (Green Arrow played by Amell) may turn out to be Artemis.

Fascinating news, I like the idea. 3 seasons in the series and episodes has been just getting better and better.

Movie News: Bryan Singer’s Instagram Image. Oh yeah, it involves X-Men Apocalypse

Bryan_Singer_(@bryanjaysinger)_•_Instagram_photos__2015-02-17_23-27-52

What does this image tell you? This is Bryan Singer’s Instagram account. It says:

Some production art. #XmenApocalypse #GrantMajor I was a little busy but will continue to snap more.

At the moment, I have no idea, but it is exciting to see some progress in the movie. It looks like some kind of ship. I wasn’t really impressed with the after credits scene in Days of Future Past. But I do look forward to how they are going to make this story work. The character Apocalypse is supposed to be the known first mutant, born 5000 years. if you’ve seen the end credits scene, he’s the one with the blue skin, raising his hands. He’s supposed to be making the Pyramids. The new movie is supposed to be set in the 1980s.

X-Men Apocalypse is scheduled to be shown on May 27, 2016.

Movie Trailers: Mad Max Fury Road

Looks like Mad Max is back!!

Description from YouTube page:

From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) stars in the title role in “Mad Max: Fury Road”—the fourth in the franchise’s history. Oscar winner Charlize Theron (“Monster,” “Prometheus”) stars as the Imperator, Furiosa. The film also stars Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) as Nux; Hugh Keays-Byrne (“Mad Max,” “Sleeping Beauty”) as Immortan Joe; and Nathan Jones (“Conan the Barbarian”) as Rictus Erectus. Collectively known as The Wives, Zoë Kravitz (“Divergent”) plays Toast, Riley Keough (“Magic Mike”) is Capable, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”) is Splendid, and supermodel Abbey Lee is The Dag, and Courtney Eaton is Fragile. Also featured in the movie are Josh Helman as Slit, Jennifer Hagan as Miss Giddy, and singer/songwriter/performer iOTA as Coma-Doof Warrior.

The cast is rounded out by well-known Australian actors John Howard and Richard Carter, supermodel Megan Gale, Angus Sampson, Joy Smithers, Gillian Jones, Melissa Jaffer and Melita Jurisic.

Oscar-winning filmmaker George Miller (“Happy Feet”) is directing the film from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller is also producing the film, along with longtime producing partner, Oscar nominee Doug Mitchell (“Babe”, “Happy Feet”), and P.J. Voeten. Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers.

The behind-the-scenes creative team includes Oscar-winning director of photography John Seale (“The English Patient”), production designer Colin Gibson (“Babe”), editor Margaret Sixel (“Happy Feet”), Oscar-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan (“A Room with a View”), action unit director and stunt coordinator Guy Norris (“Australia”), and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt (“Knowing”).

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, a Kennedy Miller Mitchell production, a George Miller film, “Mad Max: Fury Road.” The film is scheduled for release on May 15, 2015, and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.
