Gaming News: King’s Quest “The Vision” Behind the Scenes

It’s been a while since we least heard of King’s Quest, good news that there is an update via a behind the scenes video.

The original King’s Quest has been an inspiration to so many gamers and game developers. It came out at a time that video games on the PC were so in the early stages of PC games. I remember playing this on a green monochrome monitor. Using a piece of graphing paper to track all my movements in the land of Daventry.  I’m so excited to see the new game, it’s about time. I wonder if Wing Commander and Ultima will ever come back.

If you are not familiar with King’s Quest, you can check out the original game here.

Currently Playing: Double Dragon Neon (PS3)

20120927-doubledragonneon-01

Double Dragon was a side scroller beat em up game that was released in 1987. The newly released Double Dragon Neon is not really a remake, but a reimagining. It kind of retells the story of what happened in Double Dragon 1 and 2, but it did shorten up the entire story for convenience and they did a lot of original things along the way.

Currently Playing Updates

Nothing specific at this time, I’m just playing a couple of games on the PS3 but I haven’t focused on a specific game yet. On one hand I’m trying to play Bulletstorm from Epic Games/EA which is just a lot of visceral first person action, on the other hand I’m also trying to get back into Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion from Bethesda Game Studios.

Currently Playing: Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning Demo

This is we get when we combine the talents of R.A. Salvatore (writer of such books for the Forgotten Realms, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter), Todd McFarlane (creator of Spawn) and Ken Rolston (lead designer of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and IV: Oblivion). The game is currently developed by 38 Studios and Big Huge Games. It should be released sometime by the second week of February this year.

Trailer: Resident Evil 6 Reveal

It’s been 3 years since Resident Evil 5 came out. Heck, even Resident Evil Revelations will just be out in a few days. Obviously Capcom hasn’t been resting on it’s popular franchise. Leon and Chris are together this time. Based on the trailer, it seems more action packed since it seems like the lead character can run this time around. Also, zombies are back too. Check it out. Enjoy.

Currently Playing: Call of Duty Black Ops

I’ve played a lot of Call of Duty games, and I’m curious with how Treyarch will handle the series after Infinity Ward lost most of the staff. Treyarch always fell a tad behind the popular game developer. Infinity Ward always worked on the original series and started the Modern Warfare series, while Treyarch did the ones inbetween to fill in the gaps inbetween developments of the games. This gave Activision the opportunity to release a game for almost every year because they had 2 developers working on a single franchise. Black Ops is the first game that Treyarch removed itself from the World War 2 scenario.

Currently Playing: Asura’s Wrath Demo

Asura’s Wrath is like playing God of War, but it seems that it’s more Japanese in mythology (not sure yet, haven’t done my research about the game). The game enters you into two missions(5 and 11 from what I remember), which puts you in the middle of a battle. This should give you an idea how to play it. Not like most games where it gives you a long tutorial to understand how it all goes.
